April 2003- - Deer Park, New York - - Voltage transients on a power supply
bus result from excessive fluctuations in prime power source voltage, loss
of integral voltage regulation, maladjustments, series regulator faults,
etc. The new LVC Series sense when a DC overvoltage occurs and switches rapidly from an “open” to a virtual “short”
circuit. Any potentially destructive energy from resultant transients is
now provided with a very low resistance path around sensitive components
such as ICs, transistors, etc.. The crowbar will automatically reset when
the current is removed.
Transients generated by the power supply itself can wreak havoc on the
downstream load. The LVC protectors install inside a power supply or
between the power supply and sensitive equipment. Operating in
microseconds, the LVC offers a quick, sure, economical fix.
The protectors are available in the following trip voltages: 7.5V, 18V,
and 30V for 7A, 25A and 55A applications. Mil Spec and other trip voltages
available. Delivery is from stock. For more information, contact
